Mobility, built-in and maximum extraction combined in a new hood concept. The company that invented the hood in 1955 presents the new Skylift, the only hood integrated into the ceiling that descends on the hob, at the Salone del Mobile 2014.

In fact, the new model makes use of exceptional mobility: thanks to 4 thin steel cables, it descends on the stove when it is used to go up again when it is no longer in operation, thanks to Faber “up & down” technology.

Made of steel and white glass for a super light, light and dynamic allure, with an extremely clean and elegant design, Skylift is at the service of the hob dominating it from above. The best of technology and aesthetics at the service of aspiration.

A single model in the industry. It is in fact a non-vertical hood or installed to the wall, but integrally positioned in the collection of the ceiling. With a difference: the point of use, with the simple use of a remote control, it approaches the stove reach your desired height, while maintaining high performance in terms of suction and illumination. All this thanks to powerful LEDs inserted in the bottom surface characterized by an energy consumption of only 7 watts. An appliance that is not only an expression of the new design trends, but reveals ultra practical and functional. When the hood is not in operation in fact it appears completely integrated in the ceiling, freeing the cooking area of any obstruction.

The result is an absolutely minimal aesthetic effect in line with the new trends ranging establishing itself in 2014. Perfect in living spaces where the kitchen and living room come together, Skylift is a presence elegantly inserted into a space where it is important to focus on the harmony in setting the style of the furniture. The appliance free standing with colors and lines often run counter to the design of the kitchen, leaving room for a built-in models, or built-in, hiding under the wall units or are integrated into the walls to create the utmost uniformity in the environment.

So this is a real evolution of the extractor, which is already reaping great acclaim and attention from the whole market. No longer the appliance simply encased and hidden by hanging, but a new way to conceive the use and design - and living - the kitchen. The main objective is to offer new technology products that improve air quality and enable decision-makers to think of new housing solutions outside of traditional patterns and in line with the latest requirements.

A concept, that of the retractable hood, to which the Faber Research & Development center has been dedicating studies and resources for some time to radically innovate the appliance and enhance its efficiency, consumption and ease of use. The Skylift hood is not the first of the collection: in 2012 Faber presented Fabula, the downdraft hood that disappears behind the burners and a few years earlier it was the turn of Heaven Glass, a built-in model, forerunner of Skylift.
