For the contest this year were two categories of design for many target age, on the one hand the "Young Designer", the other the "Senior Designer". For each group was defined a winner.

For the category senior designers, the jury awarded first prize to Cosetta Muggianu which it occurred with the "bezel". Rowena was born in 1977 in a small coastal town of Sardinia. He began his artistic career at a young age, as a portrait painter and decorator autodidact. Over the years he continues to experiment new compositions with different materials, in particular metal, influenced by the workshop of the blacksmith to the left to which it is grown.

Upon graduation from high school, he enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and a Master's degree in 2004. During the Milanese experience, together with a passion for architecture, that also grows for design. He believes, in fact, that the two disciplines are naturally complementary and it considers the works first and foremost artistic facts. For a long time he worked in a workshop for metalworking, where he designed and implemented some furnishings sheet steel.

In recent years he has collaborated with several architectural firms dealing with residential projects and interior design. He currently lives and works in Milan in his home-laboratory, which it shares with other artists and architects.

The project presented and with which he won the seventh edition of the Cristalplant Design Contest called "bezel". It is a bath whose design was modeled on the dual role it can play: that of hot, in fact, or a shower. The size and sculptural form favor its free placement within environments of any size. The different curves of the profile suggest a convenient entrance and a surrounding seat. The original geometry, ovoid, pure, is shaped, emptied, manipulated, to conceal themselves to take on the profile of a shell from the sinuous line asymmetric, depending on your point of view, reminiscent of the moon phases. A small moon, therefore, emphasized by the whiteness and velvety material Cristalplant Biobased, material from which "bezel" is made. The product will be included in the catalog of 2016 Antoniolupi, company partner of the contest.

Leonardo Mercury It is instead the winner of junior designers with the project Fe-Man. Bari class 1985. Immediately feels the need, innate, spontaneous and sometimes atypical, to express their creativity and to represent their ideas in images. For this, he chooses to attend before the Art Institute of Bari, Pino Pascali, and then moving to Milan. Inspired by the urban and social context, in 2011 it follows with honors degree in "Artistic design for the company" Academy of Fine Arts of Brera. Caught by Japanese minimalist, he began his professional experience with the "Studio ITO Design" and works with companies such as Guzzini, Lavazza, Desiree, Lake, Fiam Italy, Reggiani etc. After four years became supervisor of the study by Setsu and Shinobu ITO, his two great masters.

The sinuous lines of Fe-Man represents the union of two different entities: the female and the male. Two complementary figures that harmonize with each other, creating a sculptural object minimalist. It clears the interpretation of the washbasin in space, depending on the point of view from which it is observed and it is positioned. The functionality of Fe-Man is expressed by the material with which it was made: Cristalplant Biobased. The project Fe-Man has won the first prize in the Cristalplant Design Contest 2015, in the category "Junior".

It will therefore be included in the catalog of 2016 Antoniolupi, company partner of the contest.
