The new Hygge handle, designed by Mario Mazzer and Giovanni Crosera, is awarded the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award 2018 in the "Product Design" category.

The award, issued by the Red Dot Institute since 1955, crowns the best products and projects of the year selected by a jury composed of forty international design experts who this year evaluated 6.300 applications from 59 countries.

Hygge was awarded for its minimal and linear design, characterized by a subtle, dynamic and slender line. A handle that blends aesthetics, quality and comfort thanks to the comfortable and functional handle.
«We are very satisfied», declares Luigi Bigoloni, at the head of the company, «to receive this honor. Our commitment and our research towards design and quality are constant and each award is an incentive to proceed along this path ».

The handle is inspired by and takes its name from the Danish word Hygge which refers to the lifestyle of this people, focused on the pursuit of daily happiness through the enjoyment of the present, savoring the small pleasures of life. Living Hygge means creating a welcoming, pleasant, intimate atmosphere, surrounded by the affection of loved ones. The Hygge model, focusing on an essential but comfortable design, recalls the Hygge lifestyle that loves to surround itself with simple but pleasant objects.

The handle for doors and windows is available in polished chrome, satin chrome, satin nickel, bronzed finishes, in matt white and black colors obtained with epoxy paint.
The awards ceremony will be held on July 9 in Essen, Germany and Hygge will be included in the Year Book and in the Essen Museum where all the products that win the award are collected.
