After the great success of the Diesel Social Kitchen, presented at Eurocucina 2012, Scavolini e Diesel present Diesel Open Workshop: the new program that, in a transversal way, dresses the kitchen and bathroom environment, continuing the research in that area of taste where design meets informal, in an impeccable balance.
In this project, a warm approach to the domestic environment is perfectly legible, with a strong industrial inspiration. The environments are therefore interpreted as the place of intimacy, personality and, at the same time, sociality. At the center, a notable attention to style down to the details, materials and textures, to create simple geometries with an attractive design, loved by an audience looking for an “apparent” simplicity of forms.
From an architectural point of view, the character of Diesel Open Workshop is defined by the modular metal structures in tubular iron with a clear industrial imprint which, thanks to the skilful mix of solids and voids, allow compositions to be built with an unmistakable metropolitan soul. accentuated by the use of opaque nuances that combine to create comfortable and casual environments.
The metal fits into this model, drawing the profiles of the handle sockets, the frames of the tops, the supports and the frame of the glass doors. The latter, in the aluminum frame version, takes on an interesting role and continues the play of volumes that characterizes the collection. Three types are available - smoked glass with black mesh, transparent glass with white mesh and flutes glass - while the Matt Lacquered version is available in three different colors - Tortora, Nero Ardesia and the new Verde Muschio.
Characterizing Diesel Open Workshop is the introduction of a new handle grip mounted on the head of the door, an aluminum profile that extends over the entire length, both horizontally (for the bases) and vertically (for the columns). Another distinctive element is the presence of a top with diamond-coated edges, mounted inside an aluminum profile in three finishes with metal corners mounted on the four corners.
The bathroom
For the first time, the collaboration between Scavolini and Diesel also extends to the bathroom, with a proposal full of charm and originality.
Industrial style is represented here by an important use of metal, which is also found in the new modular system of "shelving", which allows the insertion of shelves, open compartments, wall units and bases of different sizes, on the ground or suspended .
New integrated and countertop washbasins of exclusive design are offered in different finishes and materials: integrated rectangular washbasins in Himacs in two sizes and finishes, round countertop washbasins in Black Marquinia marble and white Mineralmarble.
The project is enhanced by the presence of a new dedicated taps and iron supports with covers, for base units, low columns, consoles and bathtubs. A set of furniture and solutions that, in their diversity of composition, manage to give an idea of perfect stylistic balance.
Another distinctive feature is the open structure for bathtub with metal legs and cover and matt lacquered shelf. As for the kitchen, a new handle grip has been designed, mounted on the head of the door.
The bathroom program is completed by the new mirror models, important personalization elements that underline the uniqueness of the collection.
The Diesel Open Workshop kitchen and bathroom program is proposed in three different configurations that combine materials and nuances - for doors, tops, profiles and glass - and represent the three souls of the project, to best describe the possible facets of this model with a strong character .
