GUARD RAIL

The Cortile d'Onore of the State University of Milan will host the new project by Alê Jordão: GUARD RAIL, an installation made up of “furniture-sculptures” that take the form of benches, beds and chairs.
It is an interesting example of recycled art, which the artist donated to the city of Sao Paulo to transform a non-place of the Brazilian metropolis into a meeting place.
The objects were created by standard wire mesh used to organize traffic: their twisted forms have become inspired to create new pieces of street furniture.
