The exhibition Rio + Design focuses on this combination to capture the attention of the international market in its fifth participation in the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2013, from 9 to 14 April. Organized by the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, through the Secretariat for Economic Development, Energy, Industry and Services (Sedeis), in partnership with Sebrae / RJ and sponsored by Firjan and Guardian, the exhibition will bring together objects designed by around 30 design studios. designs that express the creative force of carioca production, in an area of 250sqm in the Tortona area.

The scenography of the exhibition will be an invitation to enter a stimulating and lively world: a warm-colored environment will convey the creative and joyful atmosphere of Rio de Janeiro where bloom original proposals.
Among the works made with sustainable materials, there will be the chair Vidigal of Lattoog, cattail fiber; the Corn booth e Less Crama Design Estratégico, made with tiles in applewood recycled; there pendant lamp Coco, Coconut fiber, and the coating for walls or floors Folhas, produced with granules of rubber of the tire, both of Dialogue Design; in addition to the set of portable storage containers for food Combine Bold ° _a design company, in Bambootube ™ and fiber derived from bamboo and waste rice. The daring and captivating design will appear through the armchairs Fago - by Em2 Design, winner of the famous competition IF Design - And Arraia - by Indio da Costa AUDT, who received the Award idéia Brasil.
Outside the furniture sector, other objects will complete the Made in Rio design landscape. This is the case of Botiá packaging, from Ybá Design and Pesquisa: a biocompatible food package developed with a material based on coconut fiber that prevents damage to the product during transport; the practical beach racket created by Rio21Design and the Tereco ride-on toy, by Estúdio Baobá, in certified wood laminate.
The fashion will be present in a big way: spectacled recycled wood from Zerezes, the fascinating jewelry designer Antonio Bernardo and Monica weighted.
