m12 AD, after the debut at Fuorisalone 2016, presents "Timo", a collection of interior and lighting design inspired by the colors and scents of the land of Puglia, the birthplace of designer Michelangelo Olivieri.
Elegant and sober nuances, applied to a pure design, made with handicraft manufacture. Stools, chairs, armchairs, chaise longues and a lamp, with essential, elegant and functional lines. Minimal shapes and attention to every detail in a creative mix that puts in contrast light and dark, cold and warm, light and consistent. Essential materials such as solid wood and enamelled metal come together in a collection that symbolizes the roots of each of us that evolve and mature adapting to everyday life, in a versatile and contemporary design.
"This collection has been in my mind for a long time, ever since I was living in Venice. Every time I returned to Puglia, I felt the physical need to take refuge on the Murge to breathe the atmosphere, unique in the world. I simply transferred on paper all that my eyes captured, along with the feelings that these desolate, zen wastes were able to transmit: simplicity and inner balance, two key elements that we find in the "Timo" collection. Each piece is in constant equilibrium: from the lamp with a sprung structure that always returns to its original position, to the seats: two legs on which a metal plate is placed, placed in a precise point that allows maximum flexibility and prevents the collapse of the material, "says Michelangelo Olivieri.
The collection adapts perfectly to indoor and outdoor environments. In fact, for the outdoor, "Timo" presents teak wood finishes and a galvanizing treatment for metal, for excellent resistance to external agents.
"Timo" is a substantial and vigorous project, which in its simplicity transposes into the everyday life the light that envelops Puglia.
