Roberto GiacomucciIn the wake of Small Designer, continues to express his playful creative vein and designs for the company Emporium a whole new collection: new materials and new forms. A "small design" grown, matured, until it became what could be called a "world design", a design that is contaminated with various cultural stimuli and causes them to go beyond its classifications and express themselves freely. The key concepts are versatility and elegance, clean lines for functional accessories made this time with the wood. A wood treated with a special finish that gives it a touch of experience, of material, vaguely exotic and why not magic.

The collection plays with design and even with the words "neo" and "toi" and combines them together. Is Italian? Is English? Probably a still unknown language, but one that speaks of creativity. The mind aggregates and breaks down, sweeps through time and space to draw on a varied and fantastic imaginary: distant worlds, nursery rhymes, children's songs, cartoons, films (The Corpse Bride and The Ice Age), documentaries, magic shows … It even awakens the memory of children's comedies from the XNUMXs, but that's another story and Emporium will tell you about it later. In the end, the designer reassembles all this magma of thoughts in composed, rational shapes, with attention to detail, pleasant to use, but also to look at (perhaps sitting on a sofa!) And very smart accessories are born, designed so that they can embellish any environment.

DIPASQUA
A material wood, skilfully treated, transports us, with the imagination, to distant places both in time and in space. The time and space of the monolithic moai, auspicious statues that bring well-being and prosperity. The severity expressed by the pursed lips and the chin inclined towards the sky give way to comic and amusing strokes that graph the elegant and vaguely exotic surfaces of the containers, are modern Lari, fathers of the hearth.

Crocodilia

Crocodilia
A fun children's song was asked what was the direction of the crocodile, we wonder what might be the shape of a modern cupboard. The answer is this unusual complement of wood, where the design hides again the nature of the storage spaces: to access it you will have to open a door or just pull a drawer? The space hidden behind the fifth wood will be uniform or fragmented into small units contenitive?
The magic of design once again fascinates us and pleasantly surprising.

DODO and STRUZZO
One thing immediately catches the eye: we are talking about birds, but none of them can fly. One thing is not clear at first glance: they are two wooden tables that can be used individually or in combination. One thing is certain: wherever you place them they will make the environment in which they are found unique and inimitable. With two different heights they iconize one the dearly clumsy extinct Dodo and the other the fast Ostrich.

TRECIVETTE
We could assert, playing with the redundant words of the famous nursery rhyme, repeatable and repeatable up to infinity, that in this case "three owls actually make a chest of drawers".
Trecivette is a series of stackable wooden containers where the playful and urgent rhythm alludes to the dynamic uses that can be done with these matryoshka containers. Each of them has a different opening: door, flap or drawer. Curious little eyes or handles? We can stack them, combine them and even incorporate them one inside the other as an illusionist would do.

BURTON
A name that evokes gothic atmospheres and bizarre characters born of fantasy; the image of a world where nothing is as it seems and anything can happen. Cinderella's mice with a strong sartorial vocation become helpful spiders that help a failed groom to fix his suit, a bony and asymmetrical complement turns into a very cool bedside table that seems to be watching the surrounding environment cautiously.

Itchy

Itchy
It looks like the stage machine of a famous illusionist, the piece of furniture has broken down and some parts have moved. Big ears and a square muzzle, it hides the wit and functionality of the storage spaces behind the façade. Two eyes are actually knobs, the mouth is a handle. A question naturally arises where has his antagonist gone? Could he finally get rid of Scratchy?
