“WINE POUCH (R) EVOLUTION” is the innovative flexible packaging that Reverde Innovation BV Amsterdam presents at Start Plast.
Winner of five international design awards, Wine Pouch (R) evolution is the innovative packaging that Reverse Innovation BV Amsterdam (spin-off of the Italian Reverse Innovation agency) presents on the occasion of "Start Plast", the business incubator within the Plast fair, which will be held from 5 to 9 May at the Rho exhibition park, Milan.
Conceived to clear the current image of wine sold in pouches or in “bag in box”, often synonymous with modest quality, this research project in the flexible packaging sector was born from a partnership with the Friulian cellar Gigante. The result has been translated into an original graphic-structural look that reinterprets the stylistic features of the classic “Bordeaux” bottle with refinement.
The important geographical link of origin of the blend is idealized through a dry printing process, which reproduces the morphology of the terraced land on which the vines are grown on the surface of the label. The arrangement of the rows of the new vineyard, represented by a sinuous sign, create concentric and at the same time irregular geometries that recall the course of the slope. The perimeter of the vineyard is ideally circumscribed on the pack by the shape of the typical leaf of the native vine of this precious area.
"Our intention was to create a high-level product, capable of communicating with a demanding and attentive public, thus undertaking an alternative path of innovation"Says Mirco Onesti, creative director and partner of Reverse Innovation.
Wine Pouch (R) evolution was awarded at The Dieline, Fab, A 'Design Award, How Design Awards and Good Design competitions of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum.
