An essential element of human life, fuel for the mind, body engine, irreplaceable raw material, completion of a basic need and again at conviviality, exchange, relationship, much of us and of our sociability revolves around the FOOD.
What added value we give to an object created by this simple item, supplied to us directly from nature?

What symbolic value or ideal which our project should give expression? What message would convey the use of a material so valuable? What story could tell? What poetic reflection impersonate?
Hence FOODMADE, a group exhibition of oggettii / projects inspired and created DAL food and not for the food.
The food as raw material but also as a key element of the creative and production process.
PADIGLIONEITALIA 17 invited designers to deal with this issue in order to create a group exhibition of new projects made ad hoc.

NIPS (vivet homo) by useDesign
NIPS is simultaneously the uselessness of the useful and the usefulness of the useless in a kind of juxtaposition that transforms Taoist salt dough and dry bread in bowls and vases with simple shapes and natural surfaces.
NIPS forces us to reflect on the impossibility to give a full and truthful definition of what we believe to be useful or useless, it is the ephemeral game of a child or the hard work of a baker, crumbled at the end of the day.
Mixtures of flour and salt on one side and the other dry bread crumbs, mix properly with natural resins transform these simple ingredients into dough easily malleable and strong structural strength, characterized by refined textures and strong material component.
