International Competition "Aldo Morelato Foundation" art applied in the mobile. Significant Furniture 2013, X edition

“The smallest” - furnishing objects for domestic places.

How many small objects are present in our domestic space? What are really useful for our daily and which represent icons, or memories of the past? We love them all because we have chosen them and we become attached. Some take us back to distant places or will remind people, others are testimonies of travel and / or special moments of our lives. Each of them has a value and meaning, otherwise why be surrounded?

The Aldo Morelato Foundation on the occasion of the tenth edition of the Competition Rules "Significant Furniture" invites us to reflect on the universe of their own small pieces of furniture.
Participants must design an object, contextualizing it within a living space (kitchen, bedroom, study, living room, entrance ...), which enhances the woodwork.

The prototype of the first prize winner will in fact produced by Morelato, known worldwide for its tradition cabinetmaker, and will be part of the permanent museum MAAM -Museum of Applied Arts in Mobile- Foundation.

Young and old, professional architects and students are invited to submit their project no later than May 16 2013. For more information about the regulation can be found at the following link: http://www.fondazionealdomorelato.org/it/pages/concorso-internazionale-1.
