"Waiting"The new work Valentina and Riccardo Sartori, was selected by Rossana Orlandi - as one of the best projects presented at Product Design Madrid, a summary of creativity and functionality and therefore deserving to be included in the pavilion she curated at FERIARTE, the art and antiques fair that took place at IFEMA Madrid from 16 to 24 November 2013.

The brothers Sartori propose, in a new and intelligent Waiting for the world of the sessions. Two large curved lines stretching high into space with extraordinary lightness: symmetrical but chromatically antithetical house two marble balls that apparently slipping on the back round. Observing them sideways, you have the feeling that they have been immobilized during their fall down, almost trapped in a timeless dimension, where the movement is suspended. The work of Sartori "Waiting" we talking about this, and wants to describe a juncture of time between the announcement of an event and its occurrence.

The couple of chairs, a painted oak and spruce bleached, delineate a space game of curves and symbols related to women and to the size of motherhood. The two spheres of marble - a white asiago, the other in black marble marquinia - are at the center of the eye, are seeds and embryos of life can attract the attention despite their purely functional role is simply that of two armrests. Around them, back and seat are melted in a circular line and fluid that seems to twist on itself as to protect the core. This is not bent wood or tempered, but a skillful combination of small strips of solid wood, molded, pressed and subsequently smoothed.
Waiting recognize the hallmarks of Tears of Art, or the use of contrasting colors, the combination of wood materials with other transparencies, the search for sinuous.
