The word of the Amalong table is versatility, obtained in the sign of the best Italian artisan tradition. With Amalong, Giulio Iacchetti signs the second episode of collaboration with Bross, radically changing the addends: if Ademar in fact, suggesting a line of important tables, almost statues in their elliptical or round shape, Amalong instead wants to be an eclectic project, attentive to the different needs of use.
This collection was created with the aim of imagining extendable tables with essential profiles, that can be solved with elegance but above all with a 'good dose' of
trend the theme more and more requested of the variation of dimension. And it is from this transformation opportunity that the name 'Amalong', of Lombard origin, derives
chosen specifically for the assonances it creates: "long", precisely, because the length is its distinctive feature; and "loves" because the table leg leaves a curious heart-shaped mark.
The wooden structure of the product draws in fact a minimal frame that hides, inside its section, the two extensions: in this case, the possibility of modifying its configuration is absolutely not perceptible and Amalong demonstrates an impeccable, linear and contemporary design . Its aesthetic uniformity - emphasized by the 45 ° cut of all the horizontal and vertical elements that trace a perfect match - remains even when the table is opened, with the result of a practically doubled capacity.
The extensions are therefore removable from the two short sides: the wooden structure that contains them opens to the book, to be subsequently positioned in a coplanar way on the long sides and become their natural continuation. Thanks to the two deep chamfers made in the solid wood, the extensions can finally be fixed to the structure: the necessary stability of the support is guaranteed, without making any material or spatial interruption with respect to the floor.
The institutionalism of the Ademar collection, with its finish in precious wood and marble, leaves place in Amalong to a product with more lively and young tones, capable of interpreting contemporary living and its demand for ever more dynamic solutions .
And if Giulio Iacchetti strongly changes the image and functionality of the table product, giving it a new interpretation, Bross confirms its attention and research in woodworking, with solutions aimed at emphasizing the precious tactility of the material not without sophisticated technological devices .
