SELETTI AT PITTI UOMO, the famous Italian design brand, from 12 to 15 January 2016 in Florence is among the leading brands of the January trade shows of Pitti UomoWhich, for this edition Pitti Generation (s), see as guiding theme simultaneity of many different generations in the fashion and the contemporary styles.
First brand that does not belong to the fashion sector to be invited to Pitti, Seletti presents the novelties of the iconic collection Selectively wears Toiletpaper, In collaboration with the cult magazine sunny images created by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. The Fortezza da Basso, a series of original means of transport traveling, will present the world premiere of the Tote Bag and candles "strangely scented", along with carpets, for the first time in Europe after the Miami Art Week last December.
Inside the Seletti temporary shop set up in the Sala della Rotonda, on the other hand, there will be space for all the other irreverent products of the Seletti wears Toiletpaper collection, including tin tableware and porcelain plates, umbrellas, mirrors, tables , the cushions, all characterized by the irreverence of the magazine's images and by the accessibility, thanks to the use of everyday materials.
Selectively wears Toiletpaper is a proposal to objects characterized by an inexhaustible desire to experiment, black humor that is tinged with pastel colors, made from materials democratic and family combined with unexpected images and a spirit pop.
"I immediately accepted with enthusiasm the invitation of Pitti Immagine, why not be the first fashion brand to be invited to an event so important for the world of fashion is a very interesting challenge for me," says Stefano Seletti, art director brand. Le Tote Bag are the first Seletti project closely linked to the world of fashion. The four different graphics - Teeth, Pony, Lipstick, Deers - underline their irreverent and avant-garde character; the inner lining hides a handy pocket.
The candles, transversal objects that sanction the encounter between fashion and design, are contained in special porcelain cups that reproduce eight graphics by Toiletpaper: Cat, Teeth, Lipstick, Pony, Two of Spades, Toad, Roses and Deers. Each graphic is combined with an original and curious fragrance inspired by the image printed on the candle holder.
After the great success at the Miami Art Week, the carpets Seletti Wears Toiletpaper are exhibited in European preview in Florence. True works of art designed by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, they are available in twelve different graphics: Eyes, Toad, Parrot, BMW, Fingers, Insects, Sausages, Teeth, Phones, Roses, Two of Spades, Legs. The images are printed on the fabric, using inkjet machines created specifically for large formats; in a subsequent phase a particular heat treatment is carried out to guarantee the resistance of the print and the vividness of the colors.
In conjunction Pitti, Seletti will also feature at the concept store Luisaviaroma on Via Roma in the center of Florence with a preview of the new alphabet neon Alphafont. After the great success of the letters Neon Art, the best-selling line of Lighting Seletti, the brand has the unique alphabet from uppercase character, born from the hand of the design study BBMDS. These letters are bright high 30 cm and can be fixed to the wall and connected together to create words and sentences. A new project with which Seletti continues his passion to make living and eternal words, statements and thoughts.
