In the open air, in the intimacy of your home or in the conviviality of urban spaces. The exhibition “Inspired in Barcelona: in & out”, scheduled at Palazzo Isimbardi from 4 to 9 April 2017 on the occasion of Milan Design Week, offers a 360 ° immersion in the lifestyle of the Mediterranean city.

Barcelona has grown over time as a cradle of creativity, where design and architecture inspired by social behavior and provide tangible value to the inhabitants and the many tourists visiting every year. From the works of Enric Miralles, until the testimony of Jean Nouvel, the Catalan capital gathers together some of the best examples of contemporary architecture, it features a design of open spaces that stimulate continuous use by the community.

The design is already evident along the streets: the benches, the lighting systems, the flooring, the canopies and the green areas demonstrate how every detail is studied with great attention to aesthetic and functional quality. Inside the homes, then, the same care continues and the furniture product mixes Mediterranean creativity with the most innovative international trends. The design of the Catalan territory is therefore a pervasive fact that is rooted on several levels: a complexity that Catalonia Trade & Investment and BCD - Barcelona Centro de Diseño, organizers of the exhibition, wanted to interpret in the installation project conceived by Emiliana Design Studio, which will see reproduced the most characteristic areas of the city's creativity.

The patio and the porch of Palazzo Isimbardi, the prestigious location chosen to host the event, perfectly decline the different forms that make Barcelona a metropolitan hub constantly in turmoil and recognized around the world.

In the courtyard of the seventeenth-century complex then it expresses the vivacity of the rhythms of the city and its outdoor spaces: under a thin blinds and colored shutters, call structure in one of the most popular elements of Barcelona, ​​are recreated small lounge with products dedicated to outdoor .

Along the porch, on the other hand, there is space for indoor furnishings, positioned on platforms that emphasize their distinctive signs. “Inspired in Barcelona: in & out” is designed to bring out the potential that Barcelona can express in design, with a selection of 90 products made by the best brands and designers. Eugeni Quitllet, Jaime Hayon, Patricia Urquiola, Miguel Milà, Lievore Altherr Molina and Lagranja Design, together with Santa & Cole, Kettal, Nanimarquina, will be just some of the protagonists of this unique journey that will bring the visitors of the exhibition into the excellence of Catalan design. .
