Billiani prepares for the Salone del Mobile 2016, a historic Friulian company specialized in the production of chairs and seats for the contract sector, Billiani will be present at the Salone del Mobile with many new features:

la Fratina iconic chair by Emilio Nanni andhanger Tango Timo Ripatti which perfectly complements the setting for restaurants, lobbies and other public places. Furthermore, Billiani will present a new variant of the Spy armchair designed by Emilio Nanni and an expansion of the range of the Grapevine tables by Egidio Panzera.

The 2016 novelties, with the “Freshness” issue, become part of Billiani's “Appartenenza” catalog, edited by Lara Vidotto with images by Beppe Brancato. More than a catalog, the volume aims to be the story of Billiani's values starting from the story of the laboratory and the chapter “Anatomy of a chair”. An in-depth study that explores the themes of craftsmanship and design, tradition and contemporary design. And which naturally offers the wide range of Billiani chairs and tables offered in a very wide range of colors.

FRATINA - Design: Emilio Nanni

Chair and armchair in ash wood, stained or lacquered, seat upholstered in fabric, braided cord, leather or straps.

Fratina, designed by Emilio Nanni, is a metaphor for squaring the circle. The structure is defined by a pattern of clear lines that recall the square, the backrest is built by curving the wood into a circle, in a reduced form in the chair version and generously in the armchair version.

Chair and armchair of the Fratina model are presented as a typological reinterpretation of the minimal seat, revisited in a contemporary key, enhancing the Vitruvian balance in the relationship between two pure geometric figures. Made of ash wood, stained or lacquered, both variants of Fratina are available padded and upholstered in fabric, intertwined with cord, leather or straps.
