Promote Design announces the competition #with - Design WITH food, aimed at all types of designers. The theme: "A designer and his relationship with food," wants to tell personal stories with food, inspirations, minks, suggestions towards sustainability.

Not only trend, not only sensory perception of taste that generate well-being, rather a reflection that is open to the wider significance of nutrition as people's health.

PARTICIPATION

Participation is free and open to Italian and foreign designers, (Food, product, graphic, fashion, textile, interior, light). It is also allowed to participate in design teams consisting of a parent who will be solely responsible and contact person against Promote Design.

The paper to be delivered will be one or more images representing its approach with the food derived from sensory experience, a product, an icon, a material, a place or an environment, a trip. It is however allowed the presentation of more elaborate. There are no limits to the use of materials and techniques. An added value is certainly given by the echo compatibility, accessibility, ethics.

In case of disputes on originality / paternity of the products, the only responsible will be exclusively the designer. Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of this announcement. In adhering to the competition the participant agrees to the processing of personal data in accordance with Decree. 196 / 2003. Responsible for processing the data is Promote Design.

REGISTRATION AND METHOD OF PARTICIPATION

All interested parties to participate in the competition must register no later than midnight on March 17 2014 sending an email to the following address: with@promotedesign.it communicating name, profession and attaching the final papers.

In case of documents with a weight greater than 5Mb we recommend the use of Wetransfer or similar services. All the works must be presented through images (photographs, sketches, renderings, graphic illustrations) strictly in jpg format at 300dpi 4961 × 3508 pixels. A text file containing a payoff of max 120 characters (including spaces) and a description of the project of up to 400 characters (including spaces) must be attached to the image sent.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Originality, eco-friendly, ethical, accessibility and affinity to the theme of the competition, will be the fundamental selection criteria. A jury chaired by Paul Barichella (Food designer), Enzo Carbone (Founder of promotedesign.it), Riccardo Chiozzotto (Journalist) will select the ideas according to the above criteria.

DEADLINE

All entries should be sent to the email with@promotedesign.it by midnight on March 17 2014. Promote Design will notify the winners by March 26 2014.

AWARDS

The first 3 classified will see their elaborate photo printed and exhibited during the event 2014 din, one of the most important events to be held during the Fuorisalone (8 to 13 April 2014) in the location located in Via Maximian, 6 (Lambrate) to Milan. Other 20 selected by the committee will be part of a digital exhibition to be held during the exhibition din2014.

Entrants authorize promotedesign.it to publish the submitted material and make it accessible to the public.
