Experience Extension, the title of the second edition of MakeMore design competition organized by Veneta Cucine.
Veneta Cucine promotes the second edition of MakeMore, a competition dedicated to design furnishing accessories and which invites a reflection on the evolution of the way of conceiving the kitchen space, stimulating young designers to develop the concept of extension and extension of functionality in this environment.
Experience Extension, the title of the contest, refers to the idea of extending its etymological meaning: extending a body, extending its dimensions, bringing out the meanings and relationships that can be established with it.
The aim of the contest is to consolidate the dialogue, already started last year with great success, with young designers and designers at an international level, thus widening the network of relationships with the 'new generation' of creative minds.
Concretely the concept must develop one or more of these issues:
- the service, thinking of solutions that give immaterial value to the experience, objects to work in the kitchen, to use the space in different ways and times, objects that serve the kitchen but not for cooking;
- transporting, supporting, carrying: designing objects characterized by metamorphosis and / or movement, objects that 'change' form and consequently intended for use, multi-functional and unconventional objects;
- use and permanence: think of solutions that support conviviality, which amplify the indoor-outdoor relationship, which give value to leisure around the kitchen ecosystem.
Veneta Cucine will be accompanied in this experience by authoritative partners such as the Milan Polytechnic, Slow Wood and Make Tank and by important industrial companies such as Saib, Marmo Arredo, that support and believe in the project.
All projects will be viewed and evaluated by a jury of excellence composed of: Daniela Archiutti (Veneta Cucine Art Director), Paolo Campagnol (Veneta Cucine Architect), Arianna Vignati (Professor of Product Design, Milan Polytechnic Design School), Luca Fois (Professor of Design of Events, School of Design Polytechnic of Milan), Marco Parolini (Co-founder and CEO Slow Wood), Marco Scapin (Art Director Marmo Arredo), Clara Conti (Sales Manager SAIB), Studio Giovannoni (Stefano Giovannoni and Elisa Gargan) and Emmanuel Gallina (Industrial designer).
