Experience Extension, the title of the second edition of MakeMore design competition organized by Veneta Cucine.

Veneta Cucine promotes the second edition of MakeMore, a competition dedicated to design furnishing accessories and which invites reflection on the evolution of the way of conceiving the kitchen space, stimulating young designers to develop the concept of extension and extension of this environment.

Experience Extension, title of the contest, in fact refers to the idea of extending in its etymological meaning: extending a body, extending its dimensions, bringing out the meanings and relationships that can be established with it.

The aim of the contest is to consolidate the dialogue, already started last year with great success, with young designers and designers at an international level, thus expanding the network of relationships with the 'new generation' of creative minds.

Concretely the concept must develop one or more of these issues:

  • the service, thinking of solutions that give immaterial value to the experience, objects to work in the kitchen, to use the space in different ways and times, objects that are used for the kitchen but not for cooking;
  • transporting, supporting, carrying: designing objects characterized by metamorphosis and / or movement, objects that 'change' shape and consequently intended use, multifunctional and unconventional objects;
  • use and permanence: think of solutions that support conviviality, that amplify the indoor-outdoor relationship, that give value to leisure around the kitchen ecosystem.

Veneta Cucine will be accompanied in this experience by authoritative partners such as the Politecnico di Milano, Slow Wood and Make Tank and by important industrial companies such as Saib, Marmo Arredo who support and believe in the project.

All projects will be viewed and evaluated by a jury of excellence composed of: Daniela Archiutti (Art Director Veneta Cucine), Paolo Campagnol (Architect Veneta Cucine), Arianna Vignati (Professor of Product Design, School of Design Polytechnic of Milan), Luca Fois (Professor of Event Design, Milan Polytechnic School of Design), Marco Parolini (Co-founder and CEO Slow Wood), Marco Scapin (Art Director Marmo Arredo), Clara Conti (Sales Manager SAIB), Studio Giovannoni (Stefano Giovannoni and Elisa Gargan) and Emmanuel Gallina (Industrial designer).
