Responding to the general theme of the event of “feeding the planet, energy for life”, Slovenia presented their national pavilion at Milan Expo 2015.
Designed by Are architects, the temporary building consists of five prismatic structures, the shape of which resembles that of a cultivated Slovenian landscape.
Constructed from natural materials, such as wood and glass, the pavilion contains a wide range of exhibition spaces that seek to showcase the country's varied foods grown in the 24 gastronomic regions. Mirroring the lush forests that define the Slovenian landscape, the wooden structure creates an immersive environment for visitors to explore.
