Isabel Rivas and Javier Ureña recently won 1st prize in the LA&W Landscape Architecture & Wine competition. WINE, Gastronomy and Culture have traditionally been linked in Spain. The vineyards have created a unique landscape in La Rioja, and the culinary art has a great tradition in this region.
So the goal of the proposal is to create a place where these elements can be put together, in a sort of "wine pairing": cultural events for the local population, a culinary experience for visitors and a great opportunity for young cooks, all these elements around wine, in summary, a catalyst.
“We are not looking for an icon or a luxury hotel. We propose an "engine" that activates the region in different ways. We are not trying to set a building in the landscape, but to build with the landscape. "
