The German pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 is an open and public entitled "Fields of Ideas" (fields of ideas).
Designed by a team of creative studios, including SchmidhuberThe temporary building seeks to reflect the country's commitment to environmental consciousness and awareness of food.
A gently sloping ramp leads to a deck that wraps around the building. The surfaces are composed of various shades of wood. Corner of south-west adjacent to the property, the "German Square" offers a meeting place larger than suitable for shows and events. The tiers are integrated with the shape of the ramp, while the ground floor of the building we find a restaurant that can accommodate 350 people.
The project for the exhibition pavilion, led by milla & Partner It includes interactive presentations that introduce ideas and insights of Germany for an environmentally conscious food and natural resource management. Mobile devices, called "tables of seeds", allowing visitors to explore, discover and collect content presented throughout the building. The various routes that represent the earth, water, climate, biodiversity are mixed to create different spatial experiences. In addition, the hotel offers three different ways to eat: an area freely accessible to the tasting, a fine dining restaurant, and a place for reflection culinary 'gemütlichkeit' - a German word that describes a place or state of heat and cordiality.
