Hermes boutique was designed by IBLJ and is a conversion of Lutetia pool located in the heart of Saint-Germaindes-Prés district of Paris, France. According to the architects, the project led by Denis Montel and teams RDAI mixes contrasts and complementarity. E 'was imagined more in terms of
volume and surface area, in m3 more than in m2. In the end, this is an intervention as radical and surprisingly sweet. The project has a dual purpose. First of all to respect, preserve and re-interpret the architecture of the pool. The only significant change was the coverage of the pool by means of a cement composite slab supported by a lightweight structure. Below, the pool has been fully preserved. The façade overlooking the rue de Sevres, has maintained its original appearance. In this volume, lighting is crucial. The entire space is bathed in natural light that penetrates through the three large skylights above the lobby, softened only by a metal screen.
