The complex is characterized by a series of buildings, each with a specific identity and function. Looking at the complex from the outside, an obvious inspiration emerges: the look of the river stones of the nearby river. This suggestion is emphasized by the aluminum metal cladding of the buildings, which recalls the natural shape of the stones and creates a deep bond with the surrounding environment. In this way, the center is not just an architectural structure, but a tangible symbol of Zhengzhou's identity and values. Behind this extraordinary project is AND STUDIO, a team of architects with an infectious passion for design and architectural connections. The story of AND STUDIO begins fifteen years ago with two young designers, Duccio Cardelli and Ning Wang, who shared a dream: to create spaces that go beyond aesthetics, responding to human needs and promoting connection between people.
After years of apprenticeship at the world-renowned architectural firm Christian de Portzamparc, Cardelli and Wang founded AND STUDIO Paris in 2010, followed shortly by an office in Shanghai. Over the years, the team has expanded its experience and portfolio, collaborating with international and local experts to create projects that challenge the present and embrace the future.
AND STUDIO's approach is imbued with a profound social and environmental awareness. The main objective is to create spaces that promote connection between communities, improve the quality of life and respect the surrounding environment.
