The Rock Cabins: An eco-cabin resort in the heart of Hungary

The Rock Cabins An eco-cabin resort. Hello Wood design
The Rock Cabins: An eco-cabin resort in the heart of Hungary it has been modified: 2023-05-29 di Benedetto Fiori

The Rock Cabins is a resort of ecological cabins that integrate perfectly into the surrounding landscape, with organic shapes and sustainable materials such as wood. The cabins offer comfort and relaxation for couples, with kitchens, dining areas, showers and an infrared sauna.

The project by the Hello Wood architecture firm was built in Csóromfölde, a former agricultural land in Hungary which in the past has been the site of educational programs and architecture festivals, offering a mystical atmosphere. The goal was to build a cabin resort that blends seamlessly into the landscape of fields and hills. The organic shape of the cabins creates a link between the natural and the built environment. The use of wood for the houses suggests a closeness to nature, recalling the materials that have always been present in the traditional architecture of this area. In total, six cabins were built on the land. The buildings are designed to offer a high level of comfort and relaxation for a couple, with the apartments featuring a kitchen, dining area and shower directly connected to the infrared sauna. Each cabin has a large terrace facing the panorama, equipped with a 2-person jacuzzi. With the construction of the cabin resort we have been able to provide jobs for the locals and support tourism in the area.

Hello Wood is an international architecture firm based in Budapest, Hungary, specializing in working with sustainable materials, mainly wood, to create unique designs, be it cabins, large-scale projects or social installations.
