and of Donaire Arquitectos the very successful project of the Theatre of Almonte, Huelva, Spain.
The building is located on the site of an old cellar, with the challenge of integrating the existing old buildings, declared of cultural interest, and being part of a cultural complex of a total of three buildings and a common space. This space becomes the main place of the city and an important meeting area. The approach was to work on light, matter and space by playing on contrast. The contrast between exterior and interior, between old and new, between monumental scale and human scale.
