Pizza is not just a dish, it is a symbol, a universal fact that involves everyone. But there are some places that manage to turn the simple pizza into a true legend, and the Pizzeria San Lazzaro is definitely one of these places.
This new project was created by the architect Emanuele Svetti, who created an unconventional environment where the presence of surreal elements combines with a play of two-dimensional geometries, creating a unique experience for customers.
The pizzeria was designed on a single floor, with a surface area of only 95 square metres, but the designer managed to optimize the space in a harmonious way, finding the right compromise between style and functionality. The tables were custom made with a Pedrali base using stoneware tiles as a support surface. Also by Pedrali are the seats and stools positioned in front of the pizza preparation area.
The counter cladding was made in stoneware on a wooden structure that rests on the refrigerated metal elements, but here with a Venetian terrazzo effect that takes up the contrast between black and white, emphasized by a skilful play of profiles light that enhance the play of geometries.
The ceiling was decorated with wallpaper inspired by the "Project" collection already published for Zambaiti Parati, whose studio reworked it specifically to make the intervention unique, once again demonstrating the production flexibility of the Bergamo company, which confirms itself as a reference brand in the sector. When customers enter the room, they are greeted by a robot that comes out curious to "greet" guests through a hole in the ceiling from which a part of the Cortona skyline can be glimpsed, thus becoming the symbol of the pizzeria's new course.
The choice of materials was very careful, using a stoneware for the coverings, which in addition to keeping some technical spaces easily sanitized, creates a geometric pattern capable of giving originality to the whole environment. A part of the restaurant was simply defined with a line of contrasts between black enamel and white enamel, the result is a captivating game of geometries within the space.
Ultimately, the Pizzeria San Lazzaro is a legend of pizza, where good cuisine is combined with the beauty and originality of the environment. A destination not to be missed for all pizza and design lovers.
