The MOOD Dental Center – Medicina Dentária, located in the city of Maia, Portugal, has an area of approximately 80 mXNUMX on the ground floor, with additional space in the basement connected by stairs. Two interconnected dental offices and respective support spaces (bathroom and dressing room), a reception and a waiting space are planned.
The configuration of the dental center favors the distribution of dental offices near the south window, where the dimensions are larger and well suited. Based on this predefinition, the public spaces (reception, waiting room and circulation) are arranged towards the large front east window, leaving the technical and support spaces relegated to the internal areas. The functional organization is defined by a wall/membrane that divides the public and private area. This wall configures the various public spaces, resulting in a decorative panel that frames the entire front window. The sculptural wall has a wood paneling with the doors hidden in the design of the wall itself.
The proposal of materiality conveys a comfortable and well-being environment. The finishes are tactile and natural. The “sand-colored” vinyl floor guarantees visual comfort, meeting the requirements of resistance and hygiene. Private spaces follow the same aesthetic intent, with washable decorative wall coverings. The front window that comes with a sheer curtain conveys the desired comfort. A soft recessed ambient light is privileged in all spaces.
The new MOOD – Medicina Dentária dental center stands out for its functional and aesthetic design. The organization of the spaces follows a precise aim of comfort and well-being of the patients. The public spaces are arranged to offer the best possible view, taking advantage of the natural light from the front window, while the private spaces are organized to offer privacy and comfort. The sculptural wall that separates the public and private areas not only gives the clinic an image of great visual impact, but also offers a sense of warmth and welcome.
The choice of materials and finishes responds to aesthetic and functional criteria. Vinyl flooring was chosen for its resistance and ease of cleaning, but also for its reassuring and welcoming aesthetic effect. Washable decorative wallcoverings offer an eye-catching yet practical and hygienic look. The soft light recessed in all spaces, both public and private, creates an atmosphere of intimacy and tranquillity.
In summary, the new MOOD – Medicina Dentária dental clinic represents an example of functional and aesthetic design, which aims
offer a comfortable and welcoming environment to patients. The layout of the spaces and the choice of materials reflect the attention to the comfort and well-being of the patients, which translates into a positive experience in the clinic.
The sculptural wall design is particularly interesting, as it offers a decorative focal point at the entrance to the clinic, which attracts the attention of patients. The use of wood as a material gives an atmosphere of warmth and homeliness, which can help patients feel at ease and relax before their appointment. Also, the fact that the doors are hidden in the wall design adds a touch of elegance and minimalism to the clinic.
Even the choice of soft light recessed in all the spaces was a very prudent choice, as it creates a relaxing and reassuring atmosphere for the patients. The soft light can help reduce anxiety and stress, which can be common among patients visiting the dental clinic. Additionally, the use of recessed light minimizes the risk of glare or discomfort for patients.
Overall, the new MOOD – Medicina Dentária dental clinic represents an important innovation for the city of Maia, as it offers a modern and comfortable environment for patients. The layout of the spaces and the choice of materials and finishes give the clinic an image of great aesthetic impact, but also of functionality and comfort for the patients. The combination of elements such as the sculptural wall, the vinyl floor and the soft recessed light create a unique and welcoming atmosphere that helps patients feel at ease during their visit.
In conclusion, the new MOOD – Medicina Dentária clinic represents an excellent example of how functional and aesthetic design can work together to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients. The clinic is a real innovation in the city of Maia and we are confident that patients will enjoy their time here.
