Perched in the hills of Erba, overlooking Lake Como, "Casa a morchiuso", the residence designed by Marco Castelletti is actually the renovation of a building built in the seventies,
the new structure has replaced the original pitched roof with a flat roof and the exterior has been further streamlined by wrapping the perimeter with a wooden screen, which protects the semi-external spaces, the ground floor and first floor veranda from sunlight direct.
The renovation offered the opportunity to rethink the building in energy as well as architectural terms.
