An industrial unit for the production of fabrics has been set up in an industrial area between an avenue and a roundabout.
Given the importance of reading the area in relation to the rotunda, a building was created that enlarges it and is divided between two fundamental and complementary structures. One is the large production nave, a large parallelepiped, to which are attached some much smaller buildings that house the production and employee support services. The other smaller building, which leans against it and houses the administrative services on two floors, has a strong architectural expression, as if it were the head of a reptile. It is located at the East/South vertex of the Unit and looking out onto the roundabout, it becomes the expressive face of the complex, its brand image.
The administrative body swings suspended marking the entrance and showing us the public route of arrival; further down, the entrance flows into the central atrium, tall and illuminated, which indicates and distributes to the different spaces.
We consider the materiality of the components as a way of positioning and marking them, according to their function, within the planned structure. Due to the need for temperature and humidity control, the large nave was born in sandwich panel, more sober, neutral and serves as a backdrop to the administrative body. Coated in zinc with the Adeka system by VMZinc, it highlights its presence through texture and color.
In the same sense of creating a modern and solid image, an element of arrival, of introduction emerges. The stairway, located in the heart of the administrative sector, is a sculpture, the key element through which the entire "company universe" is accessed.
