The draft renovation of the architectural firm Italy and Partners has transformed the spaces of old disused offices into a small jewel, cared for in every detail to welcome and make tourists and business travelers feel at home.

Five welcoming, totally soundproofed suites - three two-room apartments with living room and bedroom and two one-room apartments - made in shades ranging from dove-gray to blue, from petrol green to burgundy, embellished with brass and heated by velvets, which stand out among the sand shades chosen as a base color.

The final result of the Italy and Partners renovation project is a warm and elegant environment, with touches of darker shades, in the curtains or in the headboards of the beds, and completed by the canaletto walnut chosen for the bathroom shelves.

The original space, of about 220 square meters, was previously occupied by an insurance office, left in an absolute state of abandonment. With a change of intended use, the internal distribution was completely revised, the installations redesigned and a break-up of housing units carried out.
"The client asked us to build five apartments in addition to a small common area, the lobby and the corridor", says architect Matteo Italia, "But above all to realize their most important desire: that the future client, entering this place, could feel welcomed like at home, with the perception of entering an exclusive space."

Particular attention was paid to the lighting project: to make the corridor and lobby comfortable, without natural light, direct and indirect lights were inserted, to achieve a particular scenographic impact. A black groove was created - one of the distinctive and recurring features in the studio's projects - inside which iGuzzini laserblade spotlights were inserted, which disappear completely. The black of the throat is taken up in the numbers of the rooms in relief, punctually illuminated by cubes, also black.

The light it plays a fundamental role also inside the rooms, in which various veils were created, with indirect indirect lighting, then taken up in the bathrooms to accentuate the texture of the wall coverings. Custom wardrobe closets have been inserted in all the bedrooms' bathrooms, with a linen effect.

In the living areas light Kartell polypropylene seats have been chosen, combined with suspension lamps with a gold interior, also by Kartell, while in the sleeping areas velvet armchairs by Calligaris have been added, combined with the dove-colored leather beds. On the walls stand out some paintings with sketches of different designers, chosen one by one by the owner, which integrate very well into the environment giving a further touch of elegance.

The kitchens made in the various apartments, they are complete: made by Modulnova according to the project of the study, they alternate the dove of the wall units with the sand tones of the bases.

To mitigate the trampling noise and increase the sense of warmth of this small living room, the flooring in the corridor was chosen to apply a carpet in neutral tones.

"We managed to create a magical place", comments Matteo Italia, "Where the customer feels wrapped, like at home, where the light color of the walls alternates with warm colors and carefully selected design objects, which make this location exclusive in the heart of the Savoy city."
