It closes with great success of the first edition NEXT LANDMARK, the international contest dedicated to graduates of the new millennium organized by the architecture and design portal Floornature. The winners and mentioned will be the protagonists of the NEXT LANDMARK collateral event during the preview of the XIII Venice Architecture Biennale.

A participation that went well beyond expectations, with 292 projects from all over the world and many quality proposals that attest to how the young scene of the international architectural scene is in turmoil. An important result for the competition, conceived by Floornature with the aim of offering new talents the deserved visibility at an international level, which allowed the portal to explore young creativity in order to publish the most interesting projects.

The 2 winning projects and the 4 mentioned, as well as a selection of the 40 best proposals, will be the protagonists of the Blue Party, the NEXT LANDMARK event to be held in Venice on August 28 on the occasion of the opening at the XIII Architecture Biennale.

The competition, open to designers graduating after 2000, has two categories: First Work dedicated to completed works and Research to reward unrealized projects, ideas, reflections and thesis. The projects awarded by the international jury, 1 winner and 2 mentioned per category, very heterogeneous from each other in terms of language and geographical origin, were able to interpret the contest guidelines in an original way through research and achievements that combined the innovative use of materials and techniques of construction, originality and attention to eco-sustainability. The international jury made up of characters of the caliber of Frits Van Dongen from the de Architekten CIE studio, Nicola Leonardi, director of The Plan magazine, Luca Molinari, Gianluca Peluffo from the 5 + 1AA studio, Mariano Diotto from IUSVE, Graziano Verdi President and CEO of GranitiFiandre & Iris Group, and Paolo Schianchi Editorial manager of Floornature.com, after a careful analysis of the 40 finalist projects selected by the editorial staff of Floornature, decreed the following winners:

On August XNUMX the winners and mentioned will be the protagonists, together with the jurors of the competition, of a talk show in the evocative setting of a deconsecrated church in the heart of Venice, a stone's throw from the Giardini della Biennale.
