Blackbird a shelter hut to be alone it has been modified: 2021-06-16 di Benedetto Fiori

Blackbird was first sketched by the designers of Stipfold in 2012. A refuge hut whose shapes evoke those of a spaceship that can land anywhere, the outside in metal arouses security while inside of we find the warmth of wood.

"The drafts were jotted down within hours, and the free-flowing ideas of a shelter hut quickly took shape. The project was born through an unfiltered process, without external impositions. It is by far the studio's best-known project and manifests our central vision. Its latest version is structurally more refined and carefully thought out. The development of this type of unbridled projects helps us to grow and to adapt the focus of our company ”.

È a place to be alone, with no clear paths leading to it. The building can be approached from any side and it was important that it hit from every angle. The structure resembles a spaceship that can land in any environment.

Blackbird is a singular entity, continuously bent. The outer metal layer gives a sense of security, while the interior wood trim makes the interior relaxed. Two glass walls at the opposite end of unity they dissolve the boundary between nature and the interior.

The cabin has a parking space and a covered outdoor terrace. The interior represents a unified space: the different rooms are separated only visually. The aluminum-clad kitchen island and open fireplace share an extractor hood of the same material and character. This texture clearly filters throughout the design. The sculptural interior features several cozy furniture, which makes the space more comfortable.
