The German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2012, organized by ARCH + and sponsored among others by Dornbracht, it was curated by Muck Petzet, Konstantin Grcic and Erica Overmeer, the theme is that of the three Rs: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE, see existing architecture as a resource, a heritage to draw on by redeveloping it , considering this operation as a new creative opportunity for the architect.

An important issue for a country like Germany which has a large number of buildings built in the post-war period, between the 50s and 70s, now abandoned.
