There is no need for a housing crisis to realize the importance of the cost of a construction both at home and abroad. A $ 40.000 home, two shipping containers are not only liveable, but also beautiful, and attract the interest of those who can't afford more. Benjamin Garcia Saxe is an architect from Costa Rica with a new perspective on housing, he recycles containers and mixes classic with modern, using sustainable materials and strategies. Two containers on a mezzanine and arranged staggered, in an East / West direction, in the center a metal roof, raised and inclined to capture sunlight and facilitate passive cooling. The result is something that (for some of us, at least) is more attractive than some prefabs, and certainly a lot cheaper to create.
