Harmony of texture and atmosphere for a lakeside apartment in Lugano, in a residential area on Lake Ceresio, designed for a young couple by the studio dotdotdot. , all the furnishings were made to measure according to the interior design and furnishing project edited by dotdotdot.
The 170 square meters of the apartment are arranged according to a universal taste that looks to the clarity and cleanliness of lines and shapes.
The large space dedicated to the living room and dining area is punctuated by the wooden structures that furnish the environment and which hide a small service bathroom.
The wood, which gives continuity to the spaces, is Birch with a texture created ad hoc. The shade of the wood lights with light coming from the spacious terrace on the lake.
The furniture designed by dotdotdot are entirely custom designed favoring the needs and taste of the residents, a young professional couple.
The living room table, a single marble slab interlocking on the wooden legs, is the result of meticulous and artisanal work.
The comparison between different materials returns in the large zinc kitchen block, with interiors in MDF fiber panels.
One of the main file rouge of the project is the use of paste-colored MDF for the furniture interiors, such as the large sideboard on wheels with the blue interior, as well as the bed, which is a single bed / wardrobe element.
The splash of color in the bedroom communicates from a distance with the chromatic touches chosen for the living room: the simple threads of the light point in the kitchen and on the dining table and the large shelves along the walls.
Another characteristic element spaces is the homogeneity of the finish: the floor in living area is resin, while in the sleeping area is wooden.
The table in the dining room is surrounded by Frida chairs, designed by Odoardo Fioravanti for Pedrali and winners of a Compasso d'Oro in 2011.
