Warren and Claire Johnson live in London in Little Venice with their two children Charlie, 3, and Jake, 2. Their flat is located on the ground floor and their terrace overlooks one of the most beautiful green squares in London. With ceilings reaching 4,5m, the space has been designed and converted to suit their lifestyle. Andy Martin Architects It was called in to design this restructuring.
Sleeping area to the north and public living spaces to the south overlooking the gardens. Each area has been re-modeled to offer abundant cabinets with walls deliberately vacated to provide space for their expanding art collection.
Andy Martin Architects removed the existing details from the doors and walls and restored the ornate ceilings and parquet floors. The new elements created are highlighted with the use of color. Color was central to the project and is very descriptive of both Warren and Claire.
