Andrew Patterson Architectsis one of the best architecture firms in New Zealand. Their credo: the ecology of a building and the poetic dimension of its architecture are essentially inseparable. According to this approach, they designed a farmhouse amidst a flock of sheep, perched in the hills near the coastal city of Auckland. To cope with the extreme climatic conditions of the site and especially the wind, the architects designed a concrete and wood structure that revolves around a patio and an outdoor swimming pool.
