It will remain open until 11 November 2012 with free admission "Viagem Sem Programa", The exhibition that tells the most intimate and less known side of the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza, a prominent figure in the international design scene, recently awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of the 13th International Architecture Exhibition - the Venice.
The exhibition was organized by the Medicina Mentis cultural association, in collaboration with the Querini Stampalia Foundation, curated by Greta Ruffino and Raul Betti and is housed in the sixteenth-century building of the Foundation.
"The exhibition - say the two curators - by delving into human nature and design culture, it intends to highlight the inseparable link between these two components, revealing through an emotional journey, the most intimate and private aspect of Álvaro Siza which manifests itself in a deep and intense ability to observe and then translate the fragments of reality into a sign ”.
