As a general theme, the convergences between the world of tradition, represented by the ways and techniques related timeless craftsmanship and the drive to the new offer by technological progress, an essential element in the challenge to improve the product.

The competition Scenarios Innovation, promoted by the Tuscany Region, in collaboration with CNA and Confartigianato Companies Toscana Tuscany and managed by Artex Centre for Artistic and Traditional Handicrafts of Tuscany, was born and developed with the aim of foster innovation of artistic and traditional Tuscan through meeting tramondo design universities and business schools, thanks to the reconstruction of a constant relationship between sources and cultural fabric local production.

In particular, Scenarios Innovation wants to stimulate the Tuscan productions to make them competitive and consistent with those that are the demands of the markets. The competition uses, from multiple editions, also sponsored by ADI Tuscany.

The GENERAL THEME XI EDITION

"Convergence between Memory and Technology - Collections for museum merchandising"

The theme of this edition is aimed at bringing together, through the trait d'union of artistic and planning training and design, museums and companies in the Tuscan territory for the development of collections for museum merchandising.

Fundamental actors in this edition will be the advanced manufacturing technology (laser scanner, 3d Press, laser cutter, printing systems 2d Advanced) That combined traditional materials can become building blocks of innovative development and at the same time, adequately match the logic of limited edition and customization of the product that the museum merchandising largely requires.

In this context, the technological dimension, through the design potential of design, can play a key role in the competitiveness of this sector contrasting and enhancing the size atavistic that our materials and our manufacturing techniques and have been able to continue, despite the difficulties, to excite in imaginary consumer.
