Andrew Patterson Architectsis one of the best architectural firms in New Zealand. Their credo: ecology of a building and the poetic dimension of his architecture are essentially inseparable. According to this approach, they designed a farmhouse in the middle of a flock of sheep, perched on the hills near the coastal city of Auckland. To cope with the extreme climatic conditions of the site and especially the wind, the architects designed a structure in concrete and wood that revolves around a patio and an outdoor pool.
