Roberto Paoli will present the new sofa Bruk designed for Sown Mercadante al Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2014, Milan, April 8-13.
Roberto Paoli draws Bruk working on the decomposition of the object in volumes different from those traditionally make a sofa. A series of elongated modules of different gauge approached irregularly generate a seating concept cozy the parallelism of the lines which intervenes in the space in a single direction. We are used to accept the integration of furniture geometries articulated in our habitat, Bruk proposes a design order that does not characterize the space, but also highlights respecting it.
Like a sculpture by Donald Judd or in a work of Frank Stella, the thought that generated Bruk weighs most important object. The staggering of the modules creates a sort of interlocking whereby more sofas can be matched with the same orientation or in solutions vis a vis. Bruk is a product able to offer the right combination of comfort and movement, Which finds its maximum expression in large environments.
