The Dutch designer Dave Hakkens He has created a mill fed with only the force of the wind, which allows you to get healthy oil, home made, from different types of seeds.

“I love good food! Food that is made the right way with good ingredients. Usually this food is homemade, but its production often takes a lot of time and energy which makes it expensive… I made an oil squeezing machine that only runs on wind power. The machine is made to grind seeds like walnuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, flax seeds, hazelnuts. Wind energy is transformed via a worm, which make the movement slow but very powerful.

First of all you have to collect some seeds and put them in the machine. When the machine starts up and starts grinding you can sit back and relax. The remaining pulp is full of protein, ideal for cooking or feeding your animals and plants… The machine does not use heat, so it means that the oil produced is cold pressed. The oil is put into old glass bottles, labeled and sealed with a cork.
The only thing you have to pay for is a cork and a label, the rest is all free ... "
