The designer Francesco Faccin tells about the blog Site how did this project:
“Pelleossa was born from the observation of the classic models of Chiavarina, starting from the very first thin model of the 800th century up to the more recent ones of the 50s of the last century. They are perfect, light chairs, with a study of the sections aimed at the minimum use of the material, very elegant but substantially hand-made one by one.I proposed to Miniforms to replicate the care and that artisan aspect but with an industrial method. I reduced manual processing to a minimum to reduce production costs and eliminate waste. The whole chair is made on a lathe with poles of the same diameter. Pelleossa is a classic chair, but with a much lower cost than a traditional Chiavarina ".
Blog Francesco Faccin says on other projects, like the kit to turn the King fre-fire, not a simple lighter:
“This project was a backward search, which went back in time to the basic needs and the first tools invented by man to save his life. A sort of zero point of design. Today I'd like to be able to carry some of this sense of absolute and pressing necessity into every new project ”.
