Whether it rains or is sunny, the stimulating atmosphere of Rio de Janeiro will animate, from the 12 17 April, the city of Milan: for the eighth consecutive year, the exhibition Rio + Design will lead to the capital of Lombardy, on the occasion of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the best of the creative output of the fascinating Brazilian locations.

Organized by the State Government of Rio de Janeiro, through the Secretary for Economic Development, the exhibition is sponsored by Sebrae-RJ e dall 'Apex-Brasil, With the support ofItalian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rio de Janeiro.

The innovative spirit of the Rio de Janeiro landscape design will be expressed, in the exuberant Zona Tortona, through the creations of 15 industry representatives. More than 30 products make up the exhibition: from furniture to kitchen items, from lights to jewelry.

"The Furniture Fair is a showcase for the launch of the innovative creations of the designers of Rio de Janeiro. And over the years we have established a schedule of meetings with entrepreneurs and partners during the Rio + Design, aiming always an exchange-bearing international and new business opportunities ", says the Secretary of Economic Development of the State of Rio de janeiro, Dulce Ângela Procópio.

Elected Designer of the Maison & Objet trade fair Americas 2015, Zanini de Zanine will present, among other products, the armchair "Nanda" - a tribute to his mother, Fernanda - designed for its brand Studio Zanini. In wood with leather, the object is inspired by the lightness, comfort and compactness of the furniture created in the '50 from his father, Zanine Caldas, the famous "Master of the wood." Another of his innovations is the armchair " Pé "(in Italian, Foot), designed for its other brands, Atelier Zanini of Zanine. Completely handmade, is made with reclaimed wood and painted with natural wax, and its number is limited to 40 pieces.

award-winning designer, Indio da Costa will reveal its first line of sofas: entitled "Planos", it is part of the Indio da Costa Design Collection. With an innovative proposal, the collection is characterized by a contemporary style and daring.

Its metallic structure (that seems to float through wide open spaces) offers a new perception of lightness, volume reduction and represents an innovation in the way of building sofas. leather-lined, metal sheets have visible edges and are finished with hand-braided leather laces. The chair family includes armchairs, ottomans and sofas two or three modules in the symmetrical or asymmetrical version, resulting in different layouts.

The versatile designer Leo Eyer, the Bold study, Continues to focus on the road of self-production and on the tip line of lamps "Cafusa", a metaphor for the mixture of races that characterize Brazil, expressed through the harmonious combination of different materials. Another of his new production is the stool "Palafita": the name of this session is a reference to the stilts, the wooden houses located on the banks of the rivers, which are present in different areas of Brazil, for example, in the Amazon region. Functional and simple, comfortably accommodates any person due to the padding in high density foam, in addition to being stackable.
