La Foundation Aldo Morelato launches'XI th edition Notice International Competition "Significant Furniture" with the theme "The Places Gown". You change the home environment and the need is to maximize space by using functional solutions and "significant", intended to contain the daily and seasonal clothing.
The call for Bando 2014 is just to present a project and in particular to develop an object, complement or instrument of furniture useful to better organize "places Gown". There are many types of clothing from that business to sports, from the leaders to the sea to those for the mountains, each requiring a different system to be stored and preserved.
The Aldo Morelato Foundation, always active promoter of mobile "artfully done," suggests the participants to enhance their proposals within the woodworking.
As every year the company Morelato implement a prototype of the first prize winner, Which will become part of the permanent collection of the MAAM, the Museum of Applied Arts in Mobile Foundation.
Up for grabs for the edition 2014 There are two major awards:
- First Prize "Foundation Aldo Morelato Opera-Project" of € 5.000,00 (For professionals);
- Student Award of € 2.500,00 (Intended for students).
The competition is open to professional designers and Italian and foreign students of various schools of design and architecture.
Il material must be delivered no later than May 15 2014. Will be allowed only in the new projects, which will then be selected by a jury composed of: Silvana Annichiarico (Director of the Triennale Design Museum) Ettore Mocchetti (Designer and director of the magazine AD / Condé Nast), Paolo Rizzato (Architect) Ugo La Pietra (Designer and theorist of applied arts, art director of FAM) and finally Giorgio Morelato (President of FAM).
The final evaluation will take place on June 13 2014 and the outcome will be available directly on the website of the Foundation Aldo Morelato by June 30 2014. As for the winning entries and runners will be contacted directly by the organizing secretary.
Later at the fair Abitare 100% Project Verona 2014 edition will be held the evening dedicated to the Outlook on Applied Arts, during which the winning works will be exhibited and the prototype of the winner.
