Which kicks off today Dchair, the forty-eighth international contest launched by Formabilio, the Italian brand that promotes projects and aspiring designers through online contests.
Cross and delight of any designer, the chair is the piece of furniture that most of all is able to synthesize the dualism of function / aesthetics inherent in the concept of Design. There is no designer who has not ventured into this challenge. Someone managed to overcome it brilliantly by designing chairs that shine, like undisputed icons, in the constellation of great design objects.
So design your chair, letting yourself be inspired by the courage and wit of the great masters, putting all the creativity and originality you are capable of, and above all respecting the combination of functionality / aesthetics. Those designed for us must dialogue with our furnishings, approach our tables with personality, must be protagonists, undisputed stars of style and comfort.
The designer of the winning projects identified by the jury of Formabilio will be entitled to a fee of 7% on the sale of products on Formabilio.com.
Project applications must be sent - using the appropriate section of the website - from 10:00 on 8 June 2015 to 18:00 on 17 July 2015. Voting will close at 18:00 on 24 July 2015 and winners will be announced by 24 August 2015.
