New LED public lighting for Bellinzona, new technologies allow you to create variable and customizable lighting scenarios according to the time of year or the events taking place in the city.
Stefano Dall'Osso and his team present the lighting project created for the lower part of Avenue Station in Bellinzona. The urban embellishment project, carried out by the Public Works Department of the City of Bellinzona, will allow citizens to “live” Viale Stazione during the evening hours, prolonging the pleasure of frequenting the space after sunset.
The night will thus become a splendid and unparalleled opportunity to perceive the context in a different way: the new light will show unexpected images, glimpses, views during the day. Furthermore, the new lighting design will be a strong element of aesthetic enhancement of the place and will have the ability to excite users, thanks to its multiple lighting scenarios.
The new lighting format wanted to highlight what are the main focuses of the area, namely the 215 meters of road, the 20 benches, the sidewalk in the area of the benches and the trees, 26 specimens of lime. A modular linear luminaire in LED technology was chosen for the benches: its position under the seat creates an original “floating” effect.
In correspondence with the trees and along the sidewalk, instead, we opted for a drive-over and modular linear luminaire, again in LED technology, recessed into the floor, perfect for creating a real “luminous carpet”.
The new plant will be managed and controlled by a system (LM&CS) that will allow to create different lighting scenes giving rise to "multiples" of space; moreover, it will be possible to customize the lighting directions according to the calendar of events (weekdays, holidays, Ramadan, Christmas, etc.). The system, which can be managed by electronic devices equipped with cutting-edge technologies, allows - with a simple gesture - to recall previously stored lighting scenarios, to adjust the intensity of the emitted light flux, to modify the lighting scenarios or to create new ones. new; the lighting system can be managed from any latest generation device (tablet, desktop PC or notebook, smartphone, etc.) both on site and remotely.
The new lighting of the Viale will provide a sure added value to the whole city of Bellinzona and will stimulate attendance, encouraging the development of social and commercial activities.
