[MOSCOW] Circus School Architectural Competition is an architectural competition organized and promoted by[AC-CA] to generate contemporary and innovative ideas.

Circus is a company of performers that includes clowns, acrobats, trapeze acts, musicians, acrobats, jugglers and other manipulators of stunt-oriented objects and artists. The animals have been widely used in traditional circus, but much less now. The contemporary circus combines traditional circus skills and theatrical techniques to convey a story or theme. Aim of the competition
The aim of this international competition is to design a new circus school in the heart of the city of Moscow to serve as an academy for aspiring young circus artists. The architecture of this new building should reflect the trends in contemporary design. The proposal must not only attend to the specific function, but also take into account the urban context and impact. This contest hopes to achieve the following objectives:

  • Encourage the use of sustainable design in all aspects of the proposal.
  • Encourage and reward excellence in the design of large scale that integrates the function, structure and details.
  • Search and highlight the unique aspects of the design of a school building.
  • Generate an exchange of ideas regarding the relationship between Architecture and Culture.
  • Encourage the use of sustainable design in all aspects of the proposal.

STRUCTURE OF COMPETITION
It is a single phase of the competition, with the aim of identifying the most appropriate proposal, which best meets the general and specific objectives of the competition.

WHO CAN 'TAKE PART
Architects, Architecture graduates, engineers and students. They are also invited to participate in the competition interdisciplinary teams.
Projects may be the work of an individual or a group of up to 4 members.

AWARDS
Winners will receive prizes totaling $ 5000 distributed as follows:
1 PRIZE: US $ 3.000
2 PRIZE: US $ 1.500
3 PRIZE: US $ 500
There will also 7 Honorable Mentions.
